Waterproof, breathable shells keep getting lighter and more breathable. The one good thing about new fabrics like GoreTex Proshell is that the older fabrics don’t get any worse - but they do get cheaper. And, since Proshell is more about durability than lightness, other shells definitely are bargains at some of these closeout prices.
