$306.63 - Scarpa Tornado AT Ski Boots

After clearing out a ton of tele gear lately, Steep and Cheap has the Scarpa AT-style ski boots on sale for just $306.63.

What is AT-style skiing though? Odds are that if you’re shopping for boots like the Tornados - you don’t need to know whatever I’m aboiut to write about it, but here goes anyway: AT gear is stiff like standard ski boots, unlike tele- boots and skis which flex both when walking and skiing. You can ski AT gear just like normal alpine gear, but AT bindings have a pivot and a locking mechanism, so you can tour and climb on them just like tele boards, then the binding can be locked and they ski like alpine gear.

Unfortunately that deal isn’t available from Steep and Cheap anymore. They do one deal per day until stuff is sold out - so you need to get to them pretty fast.

Steep and Cheap is owned by Backcountry Outlet though, and they have good (but not great) deals on the same stuff. Right now their price is $471.71 for the Scarpa Tornado AT Ski Boots. That price also gets you free ground shipping - there aren’t currently any other coupons or discounts. Also, even with the low prices, both BackcountryOutlet.com and SteepandCheap.com do have great service.
