Patagonia is discontinuing their gray (aka “stainless-whale bone”) color of the Capilene 2 long-sleeve crew. Except in 85+° F heat this shirt is great for keeping the sun off or as a lightweight, non-stinky underlayer. Yes, I’ve complained about Capilene’s tendency to get smelly before, but the new “Galdiodor” treatment works a lot better - even though I still think Marmot’s DriClime & Terramar’s EC2 are a bit better and any brand of merino wool long underwear has all the synthetics beat.
