The Nike Orizaba trail running shoe is on sale at Altrec. Based on the fit and last it looks alot like it’s a trail-oriented version of the classic Nike Pegasus shoe. That doesn’t mean the Orizaba is just a road running shoe with a toe guard though - on top of the sticky rubber outsole, drainage ports, and forefoot plate the Orizaba also sports Zoom Air units in front and back to keep your foot closer to the trail to increase stability (and also reduce the chance of rolling an ankle) plus a detachable ankle gaiter to keep out scree, sand, and snow - you know, those times when you should have brought boots but decided “ultralight” was cooler.
