Half-off Patagonia Men’s Spraymaster Waterproof Jacket
It’s softshell+waterproof from the Spraymaster shell. From Patagonia, this shell is a fully waterproof, breathable jacket made completely with stretch shell fabric. That gives it a lot of extra flexibility and a trimmer fit than normal waterproof shells and gets it pretty close to most soft shells. Of course, soft shells have nothing on it in terms of protection in wet and nasty weather and few can match its 10.5-ounce weight.

Sierra Trading Post November Coupon, Free Shipping on $75+
The November coupon for Sierra Trading Post is out. Actually it has been for over a week, but I had a vacation and got sick in the middle there.
It’s not a great coupon, just free shipping on $75 an up orders. Combined with their current 20% off outerwear and outdoor gear sale - it’s a big bargain on shells, down jackets, and winter sleeping bags. Perfect for prepping for winter camping trips, long tailgate mornings before football games, and holiday gifts.
25% Off SmartWool Merino Wool Scarves
The REI winter sale is on now. This season the sale looks good, really good. Maybe it’s the competition with Backcountry.com and Altrec - but none of those shops normally mark down new-season clothes and skis by 25-30% this close to the holidays. These SmartWool scarves are a great example (no direct links to REI items … search for the item numbers to find the scarves).

The North Face Men’s Prophecy Jacket: 40% Off
Waterproof, breathable shells keep getting lighter and more breathable. The one good thing about new fabrics like GoreTex Proshell is that the older fabrics don’t get any worse - but they do get cheaper. And, since Proshell is more about durability than lightness, other shells definitely are bargains at some of these closeout prices.
On sale now is a 2.5 layer HyVent shell from The North Face. This Prophecy jacket weighs just 10.7 ounces with full seam sealing and pit zips (in my opinion - so much better than chest or back vents). Currently available in Large and XL sizes at Altrec.com, with free shipping.

Eastern Mountain Sports is offering free shipping on any North Face purchase, just click through and the coupon will apply at checkout. It looks like there’s a bit of a bonus too, if you have just one North Face item in your order then free shipping applies to your whole order as long as it all ships together.
…I agree that this isn’t a great bargain either. Unfortunately Moosejaw and Backcountry Outlet canceled their 20% and 40% off coupons. Unless you can find your gear at Sierra Trading Post (their 10% off $79+ coupon is good until Nov. 5th) this is one of the better storewide deals right now.
